Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris – Dec. 5
Best Xbox One Games to Have on Your Radar in December 2017
Destiny 2’s release back in September saw players embark on another adventure as their Guardians, this time fighting back against the forces of the Red Legion. Curse of Osiris is the first of the title’s big expansions currently planned. The expansion will add a whole new series of story missions for players to complete as they explore Mercury for the first time.
Of course, with this being Destiny content, you can bet your bottom dollar that there’s a bunch of new weapons and gear for players to get their hands on. Power and Level caps are also increased, while new Raid and Strike content will give players a bunch of new ways to grind for that loot and max out their Guardian.
Curse of Osiris is part of Destiny 2’s season pass, but it can be purchased separately if you don’t want to commit fully just yet.
Hello Neighbor – Dec. 8
Best Xbox One Games to Have on Your Radar in December 2017
Hello Neighbor is arguably the most intriguing game to release in the whole of December, tasking players with sneaking into their neighbor’s house and uncovering what he’s hiding in his basement. It sounds simple enough, but Hello Neighbor’s most interesting feature is it’s learning AI.
Try to sneak in through the back door? It might work once, but it won’t again. Each and every move you make, your neighbor will adapt his strategy and defenses. With a charming art style and a pretty curious story on top of that, Hello Neighbor is darn intriguing. If you’re looking for a unique experience to whittle away the winter nights, Hello Neighbor is definitely worth considering.
Okami HD – Dec. 12
Best Xbox One Games to Have on Your Radar in December 2017
Okami has such a timeless art style. Back when it first released in 2006 it looked great, and now with its HD release on PS4 and Xbox One, its watercolored world is even more stunning. Okami HD follows the story of Amaterasu, the Shinto sun goddess, as she tries to save the land from darkness with the help of her celestial brush. With plenty of adrenaline-pumping moments along the way, and pretty fun brush-based combat, Okami HD is absolutely worth picking up whether you’ve already played it or not.
While playing on a standard Xbox One is sure to look stunning, those who have got an Xbox One X will be able to experience this beautiful adventure in 4K. If you’ve been looking for a title to show off your shiny new system, Okami HD is a great-looking game with plenty of substance to back up its stylish looks.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – Dec. 12
Best Xbox One Games to Have on Your Radar in December 2017
Last year’s most talked about game was the global phenomenon that was Pokemon GO. This year, that award probably goes to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). Currently in early access on Steam, PUBG drops 100 players onto an island teeming with plenty of weapons and other loot and lets them fight it out until there’s just one left standing. It’s a basic premise, but one that is incredibly tense and compelling, especially when you’re just one kill away from your first Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner (being the last one alive).
Though not a full release just yet, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds hits the Xbox One via its Preview Program on Dec. 12. It’ll feature the same solo, duo, and squad modes from the PC version, and will play pretty much exactly the same. If you’ve been wanting to jump into the PUBG phenomenon, its Xbox One release is a pretty great time to.
