Destiny 2: How to Create Orbs

How to Create Orbs in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

Orbs of Light are a type of item you’ll come across in Destiny 2. If you are a returning player from the original Destiny game, you will already be familiar with these orbs and what they do. For newcomers, however, these orbs can just seem like random sporadic drops that don’t serve much of a purpose if you aren’t paying attention. These Orbs of Light are actually very useful and they aren’t as random as you might think. There is a specific way to create orbs if you need them.

You can create them in Destiny 2 whenever you kill an enemy with your Super. Any player on your fireteam can pick up these orbs once they are generated so it provides a bit of an added incentive for players to use their Supers frequently when together in a group. You will want to make orbs often in Destiny 2 as these orbs will help you build up your Super meter more quickly. There are also different types of gear that make these orbs even more useful. For example, some will regenerate a player’s health when collecting these Orbs of Light.

Also, keep in mind that the type of enemy you defeat will determine how many orbs you or your allies create. Killing a normal one will usually generate only one orb while defeating someone major will typically generate about four orbs.
