Are There Pokemon Games Releasing in 2017?

Pokemon Games in 2017

Recommended Videos

After 2016 became a Pokemon extravaganza as the cuddly creatures celebrated their 20th anniversary, many fans will be wondering if Nintendo will treat them to another Pokemon game in 2017.

Unfortunately, I have some bad news for you. At the time of writing, there are no Pokemon games in the pipeline for 2017. However, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing going on with the games that are already out.

Most notably is Pokemon GO. The popular AR title hosted a number of in-game events to celebrate the likes of Halloween and Christmas last year, so you can expect plenty more where that came from throughout 2017. There are also the global missions in 2016’s duo of releases, Pokemon Sun and Moon. Simply contribute towards the overall, global goal, and you could be given a special reward for doing so.

While the rest of 2017 may currently be silent for Pokemon game releases, one has just passed us. Pokemon Duel released on iOS and Android last week and has players collecting virtual figures of the ‘mon and fight them in an attempt to take control of territory from your rival. It’s not the best Pokemon game out there, but it’s worth checking out if you’re a huge fan of the creatures.

If Nintendo announces any Pokemon games due to release this year, we’ll be updating this post, so be sure to check back.
