It looks like popular PC gaming platform, Steam, looks to be having a few technical issues right now as users across the world are struggling to log into their accounts.
The issues aren’t just restrained to logging into the client, either. Upon trying to access the official Steam website, players are greeted with the following message: “An error occurred while processing your request.”
The connection issues seem to have started a little earlier this morning, with roughly 91% of Steam’s connection manager servers suffering downtime. Unfortunately, this spread across the entirety of Steam’s connection manager servers soon after, and users have struggled to gain access since.
Not only is this problematic for those wanting to log in to play their games, but also for those who want to take advantage of the Winter Sale. The sale has seen a ton of games receive huge discounts off their ordinary listing price. Not only that, but the first ever Steam Awards are currently in their voting phase. Perhaps all of the action on Steam’s servers just got all too much as we approach the holiday season.
The origins of this downtime are yet to be confirmed as of yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as and when this story develops.
