Pokemon Sun and Moon introduces a whole host of new Pokemon to the series, some of which are a bit more extreme than others. The new games celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pokemon, and the development team has said they wanted to mark the occasion with memorable monster designs. Each Pokemon has a different Pokedex description in Sun and Moon, but combining both shows off some crazy monsters. Here’s 10 of the craziest new Pokemon in Sun and Moon, along with their respective Pokedex entries.
Dhelmise
“Swinging its massive anchor, it can KO Wailord in a single blow. What appears to be green seaweed is actually its body. The soul of seaweed adrift in the waves became reborn as this Pokémon. It maintains itself with new infusions of seabed detritus and seaweed.”
This Pokemon is the actual living incarnation of seaweed, and is known as a “Sea Creeper Pokemon.” It’s also unique as a ghost/grass type that learns quite a few different moves along the way. Besides moves like Mega Drain and Shadow Ball, Dhelmise also learns Steel, Normal, and Water moves. This is one terrifying Pokemon you don’t want to see beneath the waves.
