Mass Effect: Andromeda Video Shows Off New Aliens, Beautiful Worlds, and Distraught Hero

Andromeda is far away, but incredible.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is quite possibly the most anticipated game at EA Play this year and a brand new behind the scenes look from Bioware gave us all a look into what the Andromeda galaxy has to offer. The trailer displayed some of the beautiful worlds to be discovered and new alien races to interact with. The game will be powered by the Frostbite engine which promises to give a whole new feel to the game.

The video also introduced us to our first helmet-less look at the new hero who looks both confused and relieved. It seems making it to the next galaxy is a remarkable feat, despite the return of the mass effect relays from the original series. Andromeda looks dangerous, but with new powers and a brand new Mako, we’ll be ready to take on anything. Take a look at the video below.

Mass Effect: Andromeda was officially announced at E3 2014, with a trailer revealed the next year at E3 2015. Details have been fairly scarce up until now, though we were informed that the franchise would be moving away from its old cast completely, while giving players increased freedom.

“Yes, we’re building the best of what we all love about Mass Effect – amazing stories, characters and fun third-person shooter combat – and bringing them along with us on the expedition to Andromeda,” said Aaryn Flynn, General Manager of BioWare.

Let us know if you’re looking forward to a new Mass Effect game, and for all your E3 news, previews, and more, stay tuned to Twinfinite.
