Uncharted 4 Multiplayer: How to Unlock Characters

Start collecting all those Points and Chests.

The online multiplayer in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End allows you the opportunity to unlock new heroes and villains to play as. However, unlike in previous entries where you could unlock more rewards by leveling up, in Uncharted 4 you have to either buy the characters, or get lucky with your Vanity Chests. As of now, there seem to be only two reliable ways of unlocking playable characters in the multiplayer.

Buy Uncharted Coins – You’ll have to purchase Coins from the PlayStation Store in order to purchase new characters for the multiplayer mode. The game gives you 200 Coins for free at the start, but that’s not nearly enough to buy a new character or even a new skin, so you’ll have to shell out the money if you wish to play characters like Chloe or Cutter.

Buy Vanity Chests – Thankfully, Vanity Chests also give you a slim chance of unlocking characters. You can buy a Chest with 150 Relic Points, which you accumulate from winning matches and completing daily challenges. The Vanity Chests will reward you with random accessories, skins, and even an occasional character.
