Ratchet & Clank has a ton of different gadgets to add to your arsenal. Each one has different, unique abilities that benefit Ratchet and Clank on their adventure through the galaxy. They generally are acquired through the story, but certain ones are found. Magneboots are one such gadget.
Magneboots are necessary for getting onto walls that designate the ability to walk atop them. With Magneboots, it’s as simple as just walking up them. These are crucial for getting a lot of secret collectibles on a planet, especially if you want to get all Gold Bolts. In order to get yourself a pair of Magneboots, you’ll need to do a bit of side questing. Over on Nebula 634, you’ll have the option to Journey Outside the Airlock. This is one of the optional objectives on the level, and should you choose to pursue it, you’ll head out into space as Clank. Scurry through solving puzzles and avoiding death and make it to the end to find an upgrade for Clank and Magneboots for Ratchet.
Once you make your way back to Ratchet, you’ll be all set with some new boots. Congratulations!
