The Division: How to Use Emotes

As you’re walking through the Dark Zone in The Division, you may need to communicate with other players to let them know something. Well, with the help of emotes, you can convey some of your emotions pretty well.

There are a bunch of emotes in The Division that you can use. All you have to down is hold down on the directional pad on your PS4 or Xbox One and it’ll bring up a wheel. Simply select the emote that you want to do with the right analog stick and then let go. Your character will then perform the emote.

Here’s a full list of all the emotes you can do:

  • Salute
  • Surrender
  • Help
  • Applaud
  • Jumping Jack
  • Wave

While some of these will definitely come in handy in the Dark Zone, such as warning another player off or gesturing for help, the Jumping Jack emote is just great to give your Agent a little bit of exercise.
