Doom Features a Map Editor Called Doom Snapmap

Doom the newest entry in the classic FPS franchise, will feature a built in map/level creation, editing, and sharing tool. This was announced today at Bethesda’s E3 press conference.

Named Doom Snapmap, Bethesda promises that it will be an easy to use tool that will allow fans regardless of their map editing experience, to create and share their own levels and maps. In addition to creating maps, you’ll be able to design your own game modes.

Take a look at some more screens of the Snapmap tool below and let us know if you’re excited about the grand daddy of first person shooters making its return. Doom has a tentative release date of spring 2016.
