Persona 5 Has Stolen the Playstation Store’s Number-One Spot for April

We never saw it comiiiiing.

Persona 5 has rocked the PlayStation 4 charts with an amazing debut for the month of April. Atlus’ newest entry in the long-running franchise has surpassed Grand Theft Auto V and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. The Phantom Thieves have done an amazing job at stealing the hearts of fans everywhere.

Yesterday, the series director Katsura Hashino stopped by the PlayStation Blog to thank the fans for their support of the game. “These efforts are only made possible thanks to the positive reception we receive from fans—not just in Japan, but worldwide—of the Persona series and Atlus RPGs in general. I appreciate all your support for the newest entry in the Persona series, and I hope that everyone will enjoy the new Atlus RPGs to come.

Persona 5 released last month exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Have you been sucked into the world of Persona yet? How many hours have you spent roaming Tokyo? Let us know in the comments section below!
