Dishonored 2 Will Launch Worldwide This November

Take back the throne.

Earlier today, Bethesda finally gave us some more information about the highly anticipated Dishonored 2. Revealed through a post on their blog, we now know that the game will launch worldwide for PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 11 this year.

New details are also coming about the game itself, and will be available exclusively in this months Game Informer, releasing on May 7. The issue will feature 2 special covers showcasing the 2 player characters in Arkane Studio’s sequel, Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin.

We will also be getting our first look at Dishonored 2 gameplay as soon as next month. Bethesda announced the details behind their 2016 E3 Showcase, which is taking place June 12 at 7pm PST. Registration has now closed for a chance to attend the event in Los Angeles, but fortunately it will be streamed across the globe on YouTube and Twitch.

Dishonored 2 will take place 15 years after The Dunwall Plague of the first game, with Empress Emily Kaldwin’s empire devolving into chaos, as she is dethroned by an unknown usurper. New to the series, players will be allowed to choose between 2 characters, the protagonist of the first game, Corvo Attano, or the Empress herself, determined to take back her throne from forces unknown.

The sequel will expand on the first games powers, bringing a skill tree with multiple branching paths and new, exciting upgrades. Will you stalk your prey from the shadows, using your powers to conceal your mission, or make use of the bountiful new weapons and gadgets, assassinating your nefarious marks in plain sight? Find out this November 11, when the game hits store shelves.
