Increase Inventory Size – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Like many other open world titles, Breath of the Wild gives you a limited inventory to cram all those useful items you need into. Luckily, there is a way that you can increase that size and let Link carry around even more junk. With how often your equipment breaks in Breath of the Wild, it’s in your best interest to be able to carry as much as possible. To increase the size of your inventory, you’re going to need to complete a quest in called “The Priceless Maracas.”
You’ll find this quest after you pass the Dueling Peaks and go over Kakariko Bridge. You’ll notice the path starts to curve right when you go around the Pillars of Levia, and as you keep heading East you’ll spot a giant Korok by the name of Hestu up on a hill. Talk to him, and you’ll learn that the character’s favorite Maracas were stolen.
Continue up the path and into a small opening, where you’ll encounter a group of enemies. Beat them, and a chest will appear containing the maracas. Once you return to Hestu, you’ll be informed he now need Korok Seeds, of course.
Most likely, you’ll have a few Korok Seeds on you already by the time you encounter Hestu in Breath of the Wild. If you don’t, however, you’ll need to hunt down and find a few Koroks in Breath of the Wild’s world. Every Korok you find will reward you with exactly one Korok Seed. They’re generally hidden in forested areas or areas with a lot of trees, but you can also find some in random places, even by solving metal box puzzles dotted around the world.
Giving Hestu the Seeds will allow you to upgrade your inventory space, letting you add one slot to your collection of weapons. The first time you upgrade will cost one seed, with the second costing two, the third costing three, etc. Hestu will increase your inventory size twice at the location close to Kakariko Bridge, but will move onto the Korok Forest after that. You can find the area far to the North around the Hylia River, and Hestu will continue upgrading your inventory there.
Just make sure to keep an eye out for all those Koroks and get more inventory space, as it’ll definitely help you grab more equipment while playing Breath of the Wild.
