Xbox One’s Last Batch of Backward Compatible Games & Rare’s Games Enhanced for Xbox One X Shown in Action

During the Inside Xbox live stream today, developers from the backwards compatibility team announced that the program would sadly be coming to a close. However, they also announced that there would be one final wave of games consisting of thirty-one titles both from the original Xbox and Xbox 360 to bid the initiative goodbye.

Here is the final list of the last 8 original Xbox titles being added to the program:

  • Armed and Dangerous
  • Indiana Jones and The Emperors Tomb
  • Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
  • Splinter Cell
  • Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
  • Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
  • Splinter Cell: Double Agent
  • Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict

Below you can view the list of the final 15 Xbox 360 titles being added:

  • Asura’s Wrath
  • Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
  • Enchanted Arms
  • Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
  • Farcry Classic
  • Farcry Instincts Predator
  • Infinite Undiscovery
  • Peter Jackson’s King Kong
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
  • Skate
  • Star Ocean: The Last Hope
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo: HD Remix
  • Syndicate
  • Too Human (available for free)
  • Unreal Tournament

Also announced are these eight games by Rare that will all be running in 4K via an Xbox One X and are available right now:

  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
  • Kameo: Elements of Power
  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • Viva Pinata
  • Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise

These titles will be available this week on Xbox One.

Before this announcement, Xbox added Ninja Gaiden II earlier this year in April. It was previously requested often by Xbox fans and it was added as an Xbox One X Enhanced title, boasting incredibly sharp sub-4K visuals for a game already over ten years old.
