How to Save in Cuphead

Recommended Videos

Cuphead is a new run and gun/platform game from StudioMDHR Entertainment that has been in development for the better part of a decade. After all that time (which included a few delays) the game is finally out and challenging the patience, resolve, and skill of players. If you haven’t heard, Cuphead is not an easy game, and that makes saving your progress all the more important because you will die… a lot.

Fortunately enough, you never have to actually manually save your game. Seeing as how things move pretty quickly in Cuphead and you’re always at risk of dying when in one of the game’s many levels, the game will save your progress automatically as you go forth. Finish a level, purchase an upgrade, change your loadout, travel to a new area, die, whatever it is, the game will save your progress, keeping you right where you left off in the event you happen to need to step away from your Xbox One (whether from rage quitting or another reason).

So there you have it. As long as you don’t just abruptly turn off your Xbox One or PC while playing Cuphead, your progress will constantly be saved for any progression you make.
