Once you’ve cleared the tutorial level and the game begins proper, you can finally choose your first official character to play as. Like we mentioned in our beginner tips post, it really doesn’t matter which character you choose from this short list.

While we do recommend going with the character with slightly higher defense, ultimately you can clear the entire game with any character. And yes, that even includes your starter character with only one perk and ability.

Watch Dogs Legion is designed such that every character can clear every mission in the game, thanks to the tech tree and all the gadgets and upgrades you can get for it. While some characters may have an easier time with specific missions, if you find one that you’re really attached to, feel free to play as them the entire way through.
