How to Destroy Tribal Monuments in Shadow of War

Recommended Videos

Middle-earth: Shadow of War has tons of collectibles in the game, with many being tied to trophies and achievements. Overlord’s tribal monuments are statues found within the fortresses all around Mordor. They worship some orc, so, of course, you’re going to want to Just Cause these and bring them down. Here’s how to bring down monuments in Shadow of War.

To find a Tribal Monument in Shadow of War, you should see it on the map very clearly. Within a fortress’ influence, look for an orange icon that looks a lot like the Washington Monument with a sun beaming behind it. Once you’re near the monument, destroying it is easy. No, you don’t need to slash it or shoot it. You need to climb it! Time to get your parkour on.

Get to the tippy top of the statue and you’ll see a command prompt to “destroy.” Hit R1 on PS4 or RB on Xbox One and Talion will proceed to bring down the house. This isn’t too nice of a thing to do, really. You’re going to into their house and destroying their art. Thus, keep in mind that you’ll attract the attention of some angry enemies by doing this. Maybe even the captain will want to see what the heck happened outside.
