Fallout 4

Fallout 4

First up, and foremost is Fallout 4. The game released back on November 10 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. If you’re a fan of Fallout, then you’re in for a treat, as Fallout 4 improves the series to near perfection.

We’ve been waiting on Bethesda to bring us the latest in the series, and they have really outdone themselves. From the graphics to the story itself, you’ll be sucked into this game before you know it. Take a stroll through the Wasteland that was once Boston and set off in search of your family. It’s definitely worth you checking out this game during your holiday vacation.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Another great, recent title would be Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which released November 19 on PC and October 23 on PS4 and Xbox One. Embark on another epic quest with the latest in the Assassin’s Creed series, set in the Victorian Era of London and starring twins Jacob and Evie Frye.

Jacob Frye is your easily-angered brawler type, while Evie Frye is all about stealth, relying heavily on her wit and intelligence. Both complement one another and work together flawlessly. So what are you waiting for? Time for some assassinating!

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars Battlefront released on November 17 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The latest in Star Wars games, Battlefront takes you straight into the Star Wars universe, featuring iconic battlefields such as Hoth, Endor, Tatooine, and Sullust.

Choose to play in either first-person or third-person, it’s totally up to you. Take the role of Rebel Alliance soldier, an Imperial Stormtrooper, or an iconic character from the franchise like Leia, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Luke, The Emperor, or Han Solo. Online multiplayer for the game can support up to 40 players in one match, and you can play in one of 12 multiplayer maps. If multiplayer or just general shooting fun is your type, or if you’re a hardcore Star Wars fan, then this game was made for you.

Yoshi’s Woolly World

Yoshi's Woolly World

And now for a couple titles that are a little more family-friendly, but can be enjoyed by children and adults alike! Yoshi’s Woolly World released back on October 16 for the Nintendo Wii U and could be the best Yoshi game to date, aside from Yoshi’s Story for the Nintendo 64.

Dive into the World of Yoshi, where everything is made of yarn and either crocheted, woven, or knitted into existence. Even the little Shy Guys have crochet hooks as weapons! This game oozes cuteness, but is also quite challenging and entertaining. You can play alone or with a friend as you collect balls of yarn and unravel your enemies and the world around you. If you want something you can enjoy with your family, look no further than this gem right here.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes

The Legend of Zelda Tri Force Heroes

If handheld gaming is more your thing, there’s always The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes for the 3DS. Released back on October 22, this multiplayer adventure lets you play with two other random players online, or with your friends either locally or with an internet connection.

Red, Blue, or classic Green Link set out in the land of Hytopia to save Princess Styla from the dreaded wicked witch’s curse. This game is quite different from previous Zelda titles, but resembles Four Sword more than any other. Solve puzzles and make your way through the levels all while collecting various materials used to fashion costumes. These costumes will offer certain bonus attributes, such as allowing you to shoot more arrows or find hearts more frequently. Though Tri Force Heroes isn’t the most innovating title, its laid-back, teamwork-focused gameplay could be enjoyed by both old and new Legend of Zelda fans.

And there you have it, a nice list of games that you could be kicking back with during your holiday vacation. What games will you be playing?
