Side Op 48 in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has you hunting down a “legendary (hardly) brown bear” to add to the conservation platform in Mother Base. It’s a bit tricky to find and even trickier to take down. You’re going to want to head over to the designated area, but be sure to choose a helicopter drop point at the Aabe Shifap Ruins. From here, you’re going to follow the path that loops down (so that you’ll end up in the northern part of the designated circle). You’ll be able to move through the mountains in a crack off the right of this road.

Within this crack, you’ll find the bear. It’s incredibly tough, so be sure to keep far away. If it gets close, run back and be quick to press the QTE prompt to avoid its swipes. Two hits and Snake is done for.

Definitely use tranquilizer darts as opposed to any stun bullets, too. Fill it with all of your darts and back away; in a bit of time, it’ll pass out on its own and you’ll be able to fulton this off-white bear away. You’re one step closer to your perfect conservation zoo!
