Best Assault Rifle in Mass Effect: Andromeda
There are a lot of weapon options in Mass Effect: Andromeda spread across five different categories – Melee, Pistols, Assault Rifles, Shotguns, and Sniper Rifles. While they each offer their own benefits and shortcomings, an Assault Rifle is easily the most versatile. With options varying from close-long range utility and several different firing types, it can be tough to choose the best one out there.
There are a few solid options, though, that can each earn the spot of best Assault Rifle in Mass Effect: Andromeda depending on your preference.
Soned – This is a Heleus Assault Rifle used by the Kett. It’s very powerful, has a large clip, and shoots explosive/burning plasma rounds that can eat through most opponents. The rounds have a bit of a tracking ability as well, making this great at mid-range. Upping the fire-rate or even its accuracy (for improved utility over longer ranges) makes this even more dangerous.
Valkyrie – This Milky Way Assault Rifle fires in two-round bursts and offers great control, accuracy, and power. It’s very useful against armored enemies and has a decent-sized clip. It’s not a spray-‘n’-pray weapon, and shouldn’t be used as one. For calm, strategic players, this is a great option (and actually the one I use personally).
Revenant – An illegal Assault Rifle blueprint that you can find under the Milky Way research tab, this is a very powerful Assault Rifle that fires very quickly. If you up the damage output with some Augments, it absolutely shreds. It’s not very good at long-range, though, as it has horrid accuracy. But mid-close quarters combat and crowded encounters couldn’t ask for a better rifle solution.
Falcon – More of a rapid-firing grenade launcher than an Assault Rifle. It shoots mini, bouncing, explosive rounds at a rapid rate. Up the damage on this bad boy and you’re in for a sight.
P. A.W- A Remnant Assault Rifle that doesn’t seem like much at first, but if you throw on an Electricity mod it tears through shields and all mechanical enemies (yup, Remnant will fall at your feet).
These are the best options we found after many hours with Mass Effect: Andromeda. Add them to your inventory and you’ll be ready for anything.
