Skyrim: Special Edition
After five years since its release on the Xbox 360, Skyrim got a fresh lick of paint with a rerelease on the Xbox One. Thanks to Skyrim: Special Edition including all of the additional bits of DLC, it packs 75 achievements totaling 1,550 Gamerscore. While this may seem a little daunting at first, and checking the achievement list isn’t going to help with that, actually just making your way through the game, completing quests and doing as you wish will see you unlocking many of these.
In that sense, Skyrim: Special Edition is actually pretty easy to get all of the achievements for. As long as you’re willing to put in the time, completing the game and its DLC won’t be all too difficult. It’s worth noting, however, that enabling mods will disable achievements on that particular save file, but will duplicate it with one to continue your progress on. Just keep this in mind if you’re wondering why the achievements aren’t popping.
Batman: The Telltale Series – Episode Three
Another month passed us by and Telltale continued its gripping story of Bruce and Bats in their completely unique take on the universe. As Bruce and Batman had to come to terms with the latest threat to Gotham, the Children of Arkham, episode three brought with it a bunch of easy achievements for players to get their hands on.
For completing each of the first five chapters of episode three, you’ll get a neat 20 Gamerscore. However, the real reward once you’ve completed the two-hour episode with a 100 Gamerscore achievement. If you’ve already picked up the Season Pass for the game, you’ll be on track to grab yourself an easy 1000 Gamerscore if you just completing each episode. Your decisions won’t affect your haul, either, so make the choices you want to see play out in this gripping story.
Titanfall 2
Titanfall 2‘s achievement list focuses almost solely on the single-player campaign. While this may deter those players eager to jump into the much-improved multiplayer, the campaign itself is a really fun ride worth checking out. What’s more, you’ll end up picking up a large chunk of the achievements simply by playing through the campaign in whichever way you want.
You may need to head through for a second run on the hardest difficulty to polish the list off and grab those missing pilot helmets and other combat-focused achievements, but there’s nothing that should prove to be too challenging. Even better, the whole campaign clocks in at around six to eight hours, too, meaning it won’t take you long at all to boost your Gamerscore.
Mafia III
While Mafia III may have left some fans a little disappointed, it did bring with it an achievement list with plenty of easy to earn Gamerscore on the Xbox One. Many of the achievements are focused around completing the campaign’s missions, so you’ll pick off a lot of the list in your first play through. Even better, all of the collectibles littered across the world don’t have any achievements tied to them, so you won’t need to worry about these if you’re only concerned about getting all 1,000 Gamerscore.
As long as you’re willing to take down your enemies in a variety of different ways, spend a ton of money, and keep your Underbosses loyal, Mafia III is a bit of a cake walk for picking up achievements. It’s a little bit time-consuming and may require you to play through a couple of times, but if you enjoy the quest for revenge, then you’ll be 1,000 Gamerscore better off for little effort.
Batman: Return to Arkham
If the Telltale Batman series on Xbox One just isn’t offering the fast-paced action that you’re craving from a Batman game, then the recent remaster of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City may be just what you’re after. To make things even better, Return to Arkham brings with it 117 achievements for hunters to grab totaling 2,500 points of precious Gamerscore.
While collecting all of the Riddler Trophies in Asylum and earning all of the medals in Arkham City may prove to be a little time-consuming and difficult, you’ll still be able to get a ton of achievements from just playing through these great games. If you’ve been meaning to revisit the 360 classics and want some easy Gamerscore, this is one you’ll definitely want to check out.
