The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 3
Nobody does easy trophies and platinums quite like Telltale Games. The episodic series experts. for a good few years now, have made their games’ trophy lists incredibly easy to 100%, and the trophy hunting community is incredibly grateful for it.
While episode three of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier doesn’t have its own platinum trophy, it does give you six easy trophies, including a gold. All you need to do is play through all six chapters of the episode. It clocks in at around two hours, so you should easily be able to clear this in one sitting. If you’ve picked up the full season, you’ve just got one step closer to that all-important platinum trophy. Unfortunately, there’s no confirmed release date for episode four as of yet, but hopefully it won’t be too much longer to wait.
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone
Hatsune Miku’s vibrant rhythm-action gameplay may not be for everyone, but if you’re looking a game from Q1 2017 that’ll provide you with a bunch of easy trophies, this should be toward the top of your list. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have a platinum trophy, but it does have an easy list of 20 trophies (though 12 of these are locked behind paid DLC). Despite this, you’ll find unlocking the trophies on offer in Hatsune Miku incredibly easily.
From clearing the tutorial, to playing the game for 39 minutes 39 seconds, and even just trying the game in Extreme or Ex Extreme difficulty, you shouldn’t struggle getting every trophy the game has to offer. If you’re a fan of the series or rhythm games in general, this should be toward the top of your list for easy trophies in Q1 2017.
Resident Evil 7
Resident Evil 7 may have been the first major triple A release of 2017, but it certainly didn’t disappoint. While you’ll likely find yourself cowering in fear fairly often on your adventure through the Baker Residence in the game, the platinum trophy isn’t incredibly difficult to get. Sure, there will be a few that may look a little tricky, but with the right tactics you’ll be able to add Resident Evil 7’s platinum trophy to your collection in no time at all.
Resident Evil 7 has a total of 42 trophies and takes about 8-12 hours to complete on your first playthrough. You’ll need to play through the game two or three times to finish off the trophy list, but each time you play, the faster you’ll finish the game in.
The main challenge will come in the form of beating the game on Madhouse difficulty thanks to just how much the monsters can tank damage. However, if you take your time, target enemy weaknesses, and make use of our extensive wiki, the road to another PS4 platinum trophy should be fairly straightforward.
Hitman
Despite seeing its initial release last year, Hitman: The Complete First Season was released as a full game back in January. Players assume the role of Agent 47 once more as they globetrot around the world eliminating targets in whatever way they see fit. The game has a grand total of 69 trophies for players to collect, and while it may not have a platinum trophy, its easy list is sure to help raise your trophy rank by quite a bit. Plus, there’re a good few silver and gold trophies in there too, which kinda makes up for the lack of a platinum.
Though some of the trophies may seem a little daunting at first, you’ll likely clear many of Hitman’s trophies naturally simply because of the replayable nature of the gameplay. You’ll want to reach mastery levels in the different locations because you want to see everything each city has to offer. You’ll want to try and assassinate your targets in extravagant ways, too, because, well… who doesn’t wanna feel like a complete badass? With the help of a trophy guide to help you clear some of the trickier ones on the list, Hitman’s trophy list can be dusted off with minimal frustrations.
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Mass Effect: Andromeda may seem massively out of place on this list. After all, it’s no small game and its trophy list will keep you busy even once the credits roll. However, that doesn’t mean its necessarily difficult. As long as you’re willing to put the time in, Mass Effect: Andromeda’s platinum can be yours with relative ease.
While you’ll need to kill 2000 enemies in total, 100 enemies in a number of different ways, and increase all discovered planets to 100% viability, you’ll tick most of these trophies off just by playing through and exploring. The real test will come in the form of the Unwavering trophy which requires players to complete a playthrough on Insanity difficulty or five “Gold” multiplayer extractions from a firebase. Fortunately, if you don’t want to play through the game on this tough difficulty, you can always find a good squad of players and burn through the extractions. Alternatively, find a team of expert Pathfinders to carry you through. Nobody has to know, right?
Sure, Mass Effect: Andromeda will take you upwards of 60 hours to platinum, but for fans of the series it should be an enjoyable and relatively simple ride nonetheless.
