Overwatch: How to Sprint

Bad news if you wanted to run faster.
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

It’s finally here. Overwatch has landed and graced us with its long-awaited presence, and you’re probably already wondering how to sprint. If you played the tutorial, you’ll have learned to sprint with Soldier: 76 (by pressing L1/LB/PC equivalent). But, if you were looking to run faster with other characters, we have bad news.

You can’t sprint with just anyone. While some heroes have movement abilities as their Ability 1, like Tracer and her blink ability, Soldier: 76 is the only one with an old fashioned sprint mechanic.

Hopefully this saved you all the time you would have spent pressing various buttons, looking for some miracle way to run like we did. You can’t. We must move on and walk at the mortal speed assigned to our hero.
