If you’re wondering, Falcom uses a rather rare fiscal year standard, from October to September.

The company as a whole announced that its quarterly sales were  642 million yen (up 34.6% year-on-year), while operating profits were 440 million yen. (up 46.9% year-on-year).

Sales in its Product Division, which includes games sold in Japan were 66 million yen, marking a massive 101.8% growth year-on-year.

Sales for the Licensing Division, which includes games released outside of Japan licensed to publishers like NIS America, Clouded Leopard, and more, were 576 million yen (up 29.7% year-on-year).

Those are certainly very strong results, showing that there’s a large appetite for Falcom’s style of JRPGs outside of Japan.

In the meanwhile, the developer is currently working on the net Trails game, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki, which will release in Japan this year and doesn’t have an announced western release for now.

Western fans are also waiting for Falcom’s previous game, The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki, while we just got Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.
