Rise & Shine

Easy Xbox One Achievements

Despite January being a relatively quiet month for Xbox One games, Rise & Shine’s release meant there were some seriously easy pickings for achievement hunters. With only 14 achievements making up its 1000 Gamerscore, and the game coming in at around three hours completion time, you can rack up hundreds of points of Gamerscore in a morning.

What’s more, 700 Gamerscore is wrapped up in seven 100G achievements. These are rewarded for things like getting a perfect score in certain minigames, entering the Konami Code, or completing the golem puzzle without dying from the laser.

The real struggle comes in the form of beating the game on Ironman mode, and killing the first boss without taking any damage. However, take your time and plan out your attacks, and you should find this a painless few hours grabbing some high-value achievements.

Resident Evil 7

Easy Xbox One Achievements

Now, we know what you’re thinking. Resident Evil 7 cannot be an easy game to grab all of the achievements in unless you’re some survival horror god. Well, that’s where you’d be wrong. Resident Evil 7’s achievement list is very manageable, as long as you focus on cracking a few at a time.

The main issues in clearing its list are going to be beating the game in Madhouse difficulty, completing the game in four hours, and completing the game using only three First Aid Meds or less. Together, this would be a seriously punishing challenge. However, if you’re willing to play through the game a few times, this will turn out to be an easy feat to accomplish.

Simply play through the game on Easy or Normal a first time. Start again on Madhouse difficulty to clear some more of the achievements, and then use all of the unlocked items and weapons from your previous two playthroughs to make light work of an easy playthrough in under four hours.

The rest of the achievements shouldn’t cause you much of a problem. Simply use locations guides like our Mr. Everywhere and Antique Coins ones to help you dust off the collectibles, and the others should be relatively easy.

Hitman: The Complete First Season

Easy Xbox One Achievements

If you’re someone who likes to see everything a game has to offer, then Hitman: The Complete First Season not only offers a ton of content to sink your teeth into and keep you busy for a good few hours, but a pretty awesome achievements list, too.

This game doesn’t focus on you picking up a ton of collectibles or playing through on the hardest difficulty to reward you with achievements. Instead, the achievements are all about playing through the major content that’s there, and then clearing all of the different opportunities in each of the locations that Agent 47 visits.

Therefore, with the whole season now out, you can simply make your way from one location to the next wrapping up each and every mission and opportunity that arises. It’s worth noting that some achievements do require you to do some unusual things like shooting golden elephants in a penthouse, but even if you miss these (though there are plenty of guides to help you get them), you’ll be able to give your gamerscore a healthy boost. Plus, it’s a great Xbox One title to tide you over until the likes of For Honor and Halo Wars 2 in February.

That’s our top three picks for the easiest games for picking up Xbox One achievements in January 2017. Which games did you 1000G in January? Feel free to let us know down in the comments below.
