Every Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been trapped by the new foe, Galeem, and Kirby is now tasked with freeing them from their imprisonment.

As players defeat characters and overcome challenges, they will unlock fighters to use throughout this campaign. With new additions like the Spirit system players will have to think outside of the box to defeat the challenges that await them in World of Light. World of Light also features all 74 characters from the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster.

Mixing and matching different spirit combinations is extremely important in World of Light because each challenge in the world is designed for players to fool around with these mechanics. Equipping spirits that allow players to start with items like a Poke Ball or Bomb-Omb can easily turn the tide of a fight.

Also, it is important to note that the map in World of Light has a lot of branching paths that will take you to familiar places like the race track of F-Zero or the weird world of Pikmin. Solving puzzles, overcoming obstacles, and discovering secrets are just a small part of World of Light.

Above you can check out a small gameplay clip from World of Light to get a small taste of whats to come in the full release.

If you’re still looking for more information on World of Light you can check out some new stuff we learned after getting our hands on with the new mode. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 7
