How to Get Flamebreaker Armor – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

Tunics have always been a staple of this legendary action adventure franchise, but with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild players can now obtain a variety of outfits that offer unique buffs. One of these is the Flamebreaker armor set, that will not only increase Link’s defense but make him completely immune to burn damage. To actually acquire this armor set you are going to need to journey to the fabled Death Moutain. The area you are looking for is dubbed the Southern Mines and once you’re there seek out an NPC called Kima. This area is rather dangerous, so make sure you come properly equipped with food and fire resistance elixirs just to be safe.

Talk with him and he will offer Link a trade for the Flamebreaker armor if he catch all 10 of the Fireproof Lizards. These are all located specifically in the Southern Mines so don’t waste your time searching just anywhere in the game’s world. In order to catch the lizards click down the left stick and sneak up behind them very quietly otherwise they’ll run away. Once you are close enough a prompt will appear indicating you can catch them. Once you have acquired all 10 of the little fellas head back over to Kima who will gift you with the Flamebreaker armor for all your hard work. Remember, you only need to wear one piece of the set in order to be fireproof, so if you’re not a fan of the whole set then mix and match. Fashion is very important in this game, after all.
