How to Crouch in Yooka-Laylee

Recommended Videos

There’s going to be some occasions where you need to get through some tight spots in Yooka-Laylee. At these moments, you’re going to want to know how to crouch, so you can sneak on through.

To crouch in Yooka-Laylee, you’ll first need to speak to Trowzer the snake at the very start of the game. He’ll task you with finding him three Quills before he shares any information on that missing book of Laylee’s, however, once you bring him the Quills, he’ll let you through and teach you the move for free.

Once the duo has been taught the move by Trowzer in Yooka-Laylee, all you need to do is press and hold LT (L2). As long as you hold the button down, Yooka will remain crouched. Then, just use the left stick to navigate yourself through the tight area until you reach the other side.

You’ll also unlock abilities later in the game which you’ll need to crouch first to perform. It’s not a one-trick pony after all!

That’s all you need to know to crouch in Yooka-Laylee. Be sure to check out our wiki for more tips, tricks, and information on the game.
