How Long is Yakuza 6 and How Many Chapter Are There?
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life brings an end to Kazuma Kiryu’s story, the long-running protagonist of the series. While there are connections to past games, for the most part Yakuza 6 functions as a standalone entry with a brand new story. During the course of the game you’ll travel to both Kamurocho and the new country town of Onomichi. Naturally, most fans will want to know how long they can expect to spend with Kiryu’s final chapter. Here’s what you need to know.
Yakuza 6 is broken up into 12 different chapters, with a prologue and epilogue as well. It’s a pretty story-heavy game, as most Yakuza games are, so there’s a lot of conversations and cutscenes mixed in. The main story of the game should take you roughly 20-25 hours to beat, depending on how quickly you play through. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Yakuza game without a wealth of side content to dive into as well. There are plenty of minigames, substories, and extras for you to tackle that can add a lot of time onto your experience. Our own playthrough clocked in at 49 hours after completing most substories, playing a moderate amount of minigames, and exploring the world.
Yakuza 6 is definitely a bit shorter that Yakuza Zero or 5, but that’s kind of to be expected with the focus on seamlessness and the new engine.
