How to Get the Templars to Join You in XCOM 2: War of the Chosen
The Templars in XCOM 2: War of the Chosen are the third faction that you will work with. They’re the psionic masters that love to wreck up close with their dual blades. Obviously, they’re a great asset to your squad as such.
The Reapers and Skirmishers are obvious. You literally go through their missions as part of the main story almost. It’s pretty unavoidable. The Templars quest aren’t as clear cut, but it definitely is unmissable. You first come into contact with them when you travel around the world enough and make contact. For me, they unlocked when I headed to Europe. I’m not completely sure it’s the same every single time yet, so I won’t tell you that’s exactly where you need to go. However, once you make contact with where they are, you can then do Covert Actions for them. The first one allows you to bring back a Templar, in fact, adding these futuristic monks to your arsenal.
They’re a crucial faction in taking down the Hunter, so don’t sleep on them! Not only that, but their brute force powers can be an awesome way to take out foot soldiers left and right on the battlefield. Just be patient and immediately do their Covert Actions once you’ve made contact with them.
