Here is everything you need to know about how to Charge Attack in Travis Strikes Again.

Travis Touchdown has returned, this time bringing his beam katana, Blood Berry, to the Nintendo Switch. While there are a few mechanics that’ll feel different in Travis Strikes Again, the gameplay still comes down to hack and slash action.

That means that Travis and Berry will once again rely on each other to fend off enemies. Few other ways are more efficient for slicing up foes than Charge Attack.

One of the most interesting features in the original No More Heroes is that the game’s main weapon ran on batteries. Every time it was used, Bloody Berry would slowly lose its battery life, resulting in less damage when the battery was depleted.

Players were required to recharge the katana by shaking their controllers. This filled up the meter that allows Travis to even do simple moves like regular slash attacks.

Regular slash attacks don’t cut it for some enemies though. Charged Attacks are able to deal more damage and open up defenses, as they can’t be blocked.

The main downsides to this technique are that it drains considerably more battery life and leaves Touchdown open to attack while charging. Regardless, you’ll still need to master this in order to deal some serious damage in Travis Strikes Again.

In order to use this deadly attack, press R twice quickly. A prompt will arrive on the screen telling you to shake your controller.

You’ll notice that the katana will start to glow red when it is fully charged. Use the left analog stick to direct your attack when your weapon is charged and do some hefty damage.

When using your Charge Attack, your Charge Level will increase. The higher that level is, the stronger the attack is going to be.

The main thing to keep in mind is that you are still vulnerable while in this state. As a result, any time you take heavy damage, Travis’ Charge Level will decrease.
