How to Get Knowledge of Computers in State of Decay 2

Recommended Videos

State of Decay 2 melds together a lot of different genres in one game. The base building aspects can be quite fun, but you might be at a loss if you’re trying to upgrade your Comm Center and needing the “Knowledge of Computers” requirement. What could that possibly mean? Well, I’ll tell you!

So, along with base building, State of Decay 2 also has RPG elements as you probably already know. As such, different survivors have different skills. One of these skills is, in fact, Computers. You might get a survivor that already knows it but if you don’t, you need to teach it. This can be done easily by finding the Computers textbook.

It will clearly state what it’s for, and you’ll be able to use it right from the character’s inventory to teach them the skill. Keep in mind that if they already have the max number of abilities, you’ll need to use another character to teach them it. One that has a slot open, of course. As for finding the Computers textbook, there doesn’t seem to be a specific place that it appears, just keep searching every container you find and you should stumble upon it eventually.

That’s all there is to it! Now you can upgrade those communications and get more outposts going, right? Good luck out there, and if you need more help with State of Decay 2, let us know down below. For more on the game, be sure to check out our wiki.
