How to Improve Fighting Skill in State of Decay 2

Recommended Videos

Each of your survivors in State of Decay 2 has a bunch of skills that’ll help them out in the unforgiving world teeming with the undead. Your fighting skill is one that you’re probably going to use a lot, unless you try and go for some pacifist run where you try and kill as few of the undead as possible, but who wants to do that? Here’s what you need to know to improve your fighting skill in State of Decay 2.

Your character’s fighting skill is improved by fighting in hand-to-hand combat (with melee weapons). Simply grab a baseball bat and go HAM on some zombies and you’ll slowly start accruing stars for the stat. Once it’s maxed out, you’ll be able to specialize the skill by pressing down on the d-pad, pressing LB, and using the left stick to select the skill, and pressing A. This will then give you the option to pick a new, more specific skill relative to fighting that’ll also give you a neat new perk or ability in the process. For example, you may unlock a new move that you can use with melee weapons to bring death to the undead even faster.

By improving your fighting skill in State of Decay 2, you’ll also increase your character’s health stat, which is always a bonus.

That’s all you need to know to improve the fighting skill in State of Decay 2. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
