What the Glittering Boulder Does in Stardew Valley

Recommended Videos

Stardew Valley has layers upon layers within its gameplay. It is much like an onion. One of the things that you could spend your time in Pelican Town doing is repairing the really messed up Community Center. (Check out our in-depth guide for help with that over here!) It’s a very nice thing to do for the town, but even further than that, it has its perks.

For anyone that’s checked out the bundles, you may notice that the reward for completing the Fish Tank section in full is “Glittering Boulder Removed.” When you accomplish this, the boulder that’s all shiny and special looking next to the mine entrance will be destroyed. What does this do for you? Well, you won’t have yet another area to go into, but you will be able to pan for ores around the rivers in Pelican Town.

Not a bad trade off to get easy access to some minerals, right? More ores to work with! So, get to fixing that Fish Tank bundle and you’ll explode that glittering boulder into wonderful little ores you can pan for.
