Is There Splitscreen Local Co-Op Multiplayer in Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the thrilling conclusion to Square Enix’s rebooted Tomb Raider franchise, which started five years ago in 2013. Lara Croft takes on an adventure that is bigger than she could ever imagine, getting herself involved in a Mayan Apocalypse that she foolishly has brought upon herself. Attempting to destroy Trinity once and for all while also saving the entire world will be a feat that Lara will never forget. Here’s everything you need to know about whether there is splitscreen co-op mutliplayer in Shadow of the Tomb Radier
Having a second person to play the game with you side-by-side in splitscreen could have been a neat feature for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but unfortunately, there is no splitscreen co-op multiplayer in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The developers have stated that there will be some kind of multiplayer aspect added to the game via downloadable content after the game’s release, but we don’t know if that’ll be splitscreen related. The first of the rebooted series back in 2013 featured a decent competitive multiplayer mode from the get-go, playing similarly to the Uncharted’s, but it was looked at as being pretty subpar compared to the fantastic main campaign that Tomb Raider had to offer. It was lacking everything that the single-player campaign had to offer and seemed like an afterthought to keep people playing for as long as possible. Rise of the Tomb Raider, the sequel to the 2013 reboot, offered no multiplayer modes at all, including splitscreen co-op, most likely because of all of the negative reception to the first game’s competitive modes.
That’s all you need to know about splitscreen local co-op multiplayer in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. If you’re looking for more tips, tricks, and/or guides on the game, please be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide on the game that is jam-packed with useful information.
