Where to Find the Werewolf in Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game all about immersion, letting you live life as an outlaw in the wild west, pillaging and killing your way across the countryside. Even though the game has an admirable dedication to realism, there are still quite a few Easter Eggs and secrets to uncover, as is typical of any Rockstar game. One of those that players have discovered is the werewolf, or a wolfman more like. Here’s where to find the werewolf in Red Dead Redemption 2.

First things first, you’ll want to head up by Roanoke Valley, which is where the werewolf roams. While exploring, if you’re in the right place at the right time, you might hear random howling and stumble upon a naked man acting like a wolf. There doesn’t seem to be an exact location or time to run into the “Feral Man,” as he’s called in the game. A video from YouTube user wojnar90 shows him encountering the werewolf in the daytime, in the forest of Roanoke Vally.

If you do run into the werewolf you can follow him back to his lair, which is pretty much exactly where the R is in the word Roanoke Valley on your map. You can see the location in the image below, courtesy of VG24/7.

If you follow the werewolf to his lair he’ll run into the cave and be protected by two wolves. Killing the wolves will cause him to collapse to the ground and whimper, not doing anything. If you explore the cave it’s just a mess of bones and carcasses, except for a diary called Runaway Diary.

If you read the book you’ll find out that the werewolf was just a young boy inspired by a book called My Life Among The Trees, and the diary ends with him meeting a pack of wolf pups. Great to know you just murdered his family, right?

If you do read the diary, the werewolf will attack you with a knife outside the cave, but he’s very easy to take down. As with many things in Red Dead Redemption 2, this story doesn’t have a happy ending.

Hopefully, that helps you figure out exactly where to find the werewolf in Red Dead Redemption 2.
