How to Get Arabian Horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 & Where to Find it

Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the Arabian Horse in Red Dead Redemption 2.

In Rockstar’s hit new game, your horse is more than a simple vehicle to get you from Point A to Point B. As you ride around the Wild West, robbing trains and helping strangers, your bond with your horse will grow and it will improve.

However, there are certain horses in the game that are simply better than others, with high stats in health, stamina, and speed. The better they are, the faster you can escape the law or ride across the map to the next quest waypoint.

Arguably the best horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 is the Arabian Horse, and you’ll want to get it as soon as you can.

Where to Find Arabian Horse

The Arabian Horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 can be found in the northwestern part of the map. If you head to the southwestern part of Lake Isabella, around the lower western edge of the lake itself, you should be able to find the horse there. The horse is bright white so might be tough to spot in the snowy lands.

However, it’s not a simple case of running up to it, jumping on, and riding off into the sunset. The Arabian Horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 can be quite unruly.

It is more likely to run off than other horses in the game, so the best thing to do is plan your attempt by tracking it for a while and slowly making your way to it.

How to Tame

Taming the Arabian Horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 works the same way as it does with others, but you need to be more precise with it.

When you’re near a wild Arabian Horse, hold L2/LT to lock on to it, and then press the prompt for Calm whenever it appears. Doing this a few times as you approach it will lower the chances of it just running off. Once you reach it, pat it when the prompt appears, and then press triangle/Y to mount it when you think it’s calm enough.

Now, it’ll probably try to buck you off. To counter it, pull back on L3 and keep pressing Square/X to calm it down whenever the prompt appears in the bottom right of the screen.
