Help Trudi Side Quest

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart: Help Trudi Side Mission Guide

Every planet in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart is home to at least one side quest. The one on Sargasso is a little silly, but has a nice reward for anyone wanting to tough it out, as it isn’t exactly an easy completion. Here’s a guide for the Help Trudi Side Mission in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.

The first thing you need to know is that this side quest is not immediately available after you bet Sargasso. You must travel and beat the next location, Zurkie’s, for it to start.

On your way out to Zurkie’s you’ll get a message from Mort that Trudi needs some help back on Sargasso. Travel back and once you arrive, walk forward. Turns out Trudi is a dinosaur bird. Mort will tell you that Trudi’s food source, Zurpstones, have been rather scarce lately and would like your help collecting some of them for her. (Make sure to keep walking past Mort and around the corner at the far end of the platform for a gold bolt.)

While they are now visible on your map, the first several clusters are easy to find starting from the bridge behind the Ms. Zurkon shop. The first reward, a pair of boots, will be available once you collect 30 Zurpstones. If you get turned around, you can use your map to pin them as waypoints for an easier time.

Don’t worry about the ones high above you, they will be out of your reach for a little longer.

Once you have the 30, Mort will tell you that Trudi wants to help you find more, and you are now able to ride on her back and fly through the air. Also, if you are interested in finding the leftover 30 Zurpstones, you will be rewarded with an Infobot.

This is when you will want to pin the Zurpstones left on your map, as they will be much harder to find simply on foot. Fly around on Trudi but know that you have no way of jumping off her, you need to find a place for her to land that should be clearly marked on the ground as a mound of dirt with light beams around it and the big O button interaction prompt.

You need to collect 15 more, totaling up to 45, before Mort will suddenly tell you that Trudi can shoot fireballs. This is now the time to stay in the sky and have Trudi help shoot all 15 of the Zurpstones you have yet to get, no matter where they are, as her auto-aim is very generous.

Once you have collected the full 60, returning to Mort will nwr you a new Infobot that gives the Sargasso audio log and the next piece of the RYNO 8 blueprints.

Time needed: 1 hour
