All Ranks Explained in Pokemon Unite

Pokemon Unite has a ranked mode where you can see how you stack up against other players in a more competitive environment. There are five initial ranks each with three classes within them. Once you progress through all these you’ll arrive at Master Rank which uses a point system.

  • Beginner
  • Great
  • Expert
  • Veteran
  • Ultra
  • Master

In order to rank up through the various classes, you need to get three crystals. Crystals are earned by winning and when you lose you lose a crystal. You can rank up more quickly by doing really well within a match as that can earn you an extra crystal.

Eventually, once you’ve arrived at the rank that matches your skill level you will probably find that you’re winning about 50% of your matches and that’s where you’re likely to stay around until you improve your game.

At the end of a Pokemon Unite competitive season, you will get a reward of items based on the rank that you ended with.
