Magearna – Pokemon Sun and Moon

Magearna is a legendary Steel and Fairy-type Pokemon that players can currently receive via an event of sorts. Rather than the usual mystery gift format that we’ve seen legendary Pokemon come in before, Magearna can be obtained via simply scanning a QR code with your 3DS.

Prior to this, Magearna could not be obtained in the game, so now that the QR code has finally become available, you’ll be able to add it to your team and Pokedex. You’ll receive it at level 50, and it’ll have the following moves.

  • Fleur Cannon
  • Flash Cannon
  • Lucky Chant
  • Helping Hand

To get a Magearna you’ll first have had to have completed the main story of the game. Once you’ve done this, open the QR scanner from your menu once you’ve loaded up your game. Then, all you have to do is point your 3DS’ camera at the QR code below and hold down the R shoulder button until the game confirms it has analyzed the QR code.

Once the QR code has been confirmed and registered, make your way to the Antiquities of the Ages shop in Hau’oli city. The QR code for Magearna is below.

magearna, pokemon sun, moon

Please note that the above code is for North American users only. There will be a European code for Magearna too, however, Nintendo has yet to upload this. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as and when it appears.
