Where and How to Rest in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
In Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, you’ll ocasionally need to rest in order to keep your party healthy, alive, and in high spirits. Any time someone falls in combat they will get injured, and receive an injury. They will receive a penalty such as their maximum health being decreased, and it becomes increasingly more difficult to keep them alive in battle. If they receive more than three injuries they will permanently die, which of course, is something you should be actively avoiding. Injuries last until you rest and are wiped clean when you do. So knowing where and how to rest in PoE 2 is obviously quite important.
To rest in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, you must first find a suitable location. The most convenient and easiest way to rest is at an inn. Not only will you be wiped clean of all your injuries, many inns also offer a resting bonus which will give you a boost for a short amount of time which is always nice. Simply find the owner behind the bar, and ask him/her for a room. You’ll likely need to pay a small fee to use the room for the night. Time will pass and you’ll be all rest and ready to go.
If you’re not near a town, you’ll need to find a resting location like a camp, shrine, or somewhere else on the world map that will allow you to stop and rest. However, to remove injuries while at another rest location other than an inn you need to be able to offer your party member food or drink. Food and drink may also provide your party members with a resting bonus as well.
