No Man’s Sky: How to Get Omegon and What it Does

Omegon – No Man’s Sky

Recommended Videos

There are a lot of different resources in No Man’s Sky, and some of them are extraordinarily rare. One exceptionally rare element in the game is Omegon. It’s a Precious Element and can only be found by feeding certain animals. After a while, those animals will poop out (seriously) some Omegon for you to collect.

Omegon is very valuable, so you can sell it for large sums of Units, but it’s also used in very few, high-end upgrades for your gear. You won’t need any until relatively late in the game, but if you want to hold onto 100 or so (if you can even get your hands on that much), that’s reasonable. Anything else you should sell to watch your Units shoot up.

If you’re really desperate for Omegon, you can sometimes find it on the Galactic Market. But that should be a last resort as the price will leave a major dent in your space account.

Now that you have one of the rarest resources in the game, you’ll probably need help with other aspects of No Man’s Sky. For that you should check out our constantly expanding wiki for all of your space faring needs.
