How to Change Weapons in Mass Effect Andromeda

Recommended Videos

As you discover more weapons in Mass Effect Andromeda, you’ll likely need to switch between them, depending on the kind of situation you’re in. Like the original trilogy, Andromeda utilizes a weapon wheel to give you a clear view of what firearms you have on your person. To bring up the weapon wheel, press the View button on the Xbox One (or the touchpad if you’re on PS4). You can then use the left analog stick to highlight the weapon you want, and select it to equip it.

Do note that there are different classes of weapons in Andromeda such as regular pistols, assault rifles, and shotguns. Even further than that, some weapons require you to find ammo pickups on the ground while others are plasma-based. Plasma weapons don’t need to be reloaded, but if you fire them off too much in one go and overheat it, the weapon will need to undergo a short cooldown period before you can fire again.

Feel free to sound off in the comments if you have other questions about the game.
