Lost Ark: How to Increase FPS

Developed by Smilegate RPG, Lost Ark is an MMOARPG that’s only surged in popularity since getting an official English release a few months ago. While the game doesn’t have any serious performance issues on PC, here are some ways you can try to increase your FPS in Lost Ark.

First off, make sure that your PC actually meets the recommended specs for the game. Considering that the specs aren’t too crazy, this shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The recommended specs are as follows:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit only)
  • Processor: Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

In your settings, you’ll be able to fiddle with a few settings to try to get the most FPS as you can out of your rig. Here are a few things that worked for us:

  • Switching from Borderless Windowed to Fullscreen
  • Turning off Depth of Field
  • Setting Shadows and other various effects to Medium instead of Very High

You’ll also want to turn off V-Sync, but do be warned that this may cause some screen-tearing if your frame rate is uncapped. Using a G-Sync monitor, we found that turning off V-Sync allowed us to get slightly higher FPS, as it usually does across other different games as well.

That’s all you need to know about how to increase your FPS in Lost Ark. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
