Following the trend of allowing players to take photos of the world and their characters, Kingdom Hearts 3 gives you the chance to take selfies with the likes of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Olaf, and many more. You’re not able to take photos from the start of the game, though,
You have to play through the story until you reach Twilight Town. Near the start of your time in that world, around two to three hours into the game, you’ll be given the Gummiphone and introduced to how to take photos and selfies.
Once you’re given the Gummiphone, you need to press the touchpad if you’re on PS4 (the View button if you’re on Xbox One) to open the camera. Then, you have a few options for what kind of picture to take.
To zoom in and out, you can press L2 and R2 (LT and RT). To switch to selfie mode, you can press X (A), and then press R1 (RB) to take the photo once you’ve got the one you want.
You can even press L1 (LB) to change Sora and the other characters in the selfie’s expression. The selfie will be better if you get Sora to smile first.
The pictures you take in Kingdom Hearts 3 will be stored in your phone, for you to access and screenshot later. You can store up to 100 at a time.
If you’re taking selfies everywhere you go, you can delete photos. To do so, press Options/Menu to open up the menu, select the Gummiphone option, then photo album, and then you can delete whichever ones you do not want.
