Developed by Counterplay Games and published by Gearbox, Godfall is a brand new looter-slasher game that has just been released for the PS5 as a launch title and PC via the Epic Games Store. However, if you’re wondering whether Godfall is coming to the Xbox Series X or S, here’s what you need to know.
Is Godfall Coming to Xbox Series X?
For the time being, there’s no news on whether Gearbox has any plans to bring the game to Microsoft’s next-gen consoles. The company has yet to announce anything on that front, which means that if you absolutely want to get started on the game right now, your only options are PS5 or PC.
That being said, it’s definitely worth noting that Godfall is only a timed console exclusive for PS5. The game’s timed exclusivity period is set to end on May 21, 2021, and after that date, Gearbox will be able to put it on other consoles if they choose to do so.
Considering that it’s a timed exclusive on PS5, chances are pretty high that the game will eventually come to the Xbox Series X and S, though you’ll have to wait till the middle of next year if you want to enjoy it on Microsoft’s consoles. In the meantime, there are tons of other looter games that you can still enjoy on Xbox, such as Destiny 2 and Borderlands 3.
Godfall follows the story of Orin, who’s been betrayed by their sibling Macros after working together for so long to rid the world of petty gods and conflicts, and players have to explore the realm to try to take him down. The game features a pretty extensive end game stretch, where you’ll get to farm missions for increasingly better loot and equipment to strengthen your character even further.
That’s all you need to know about whether Godfall is coming to Xbox Series X. If anything changes, we’ll update this article with the relevant information. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
