Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition: How to Unlock Toon Link

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition has loads of characters from across The Legend of Zelda series, with everyone from the Demon Lord Ghirahim to Malon. The Definitive Edition contains all characters previously added onto the game via DLC and the Legends version, including a host of characters from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Naturally, most people are probably wondering how to get the hero of Wind Waker, Toon Link.

Luckily, Toon Link is one of the easier characters to get in the game. First off you need to head to Adventure Mode and select The Great Sea map, which is themed after Wind Waker. You’ll need to beat the first battle, but the Great Sea map is an “Easy” map so you shouldn’t have too much trouble. After that just look at the square above your starting point, 7-9 is the exact number. Simply beat the scenario on that grid and you’ll have unlocked Toon Link to use in all modes except for Legend Mode. He’s a quick and agile character that can leap around the battlefield with his strong attack, so make sure to try him out after unlocking.
