Power Cells are required to unlock the Ancient Armory to get the secret Shield Weaver Outfit. The Power Cells are found in mission areas throughout the duration of Horizon Zero Dawn. It’s worth noting that you don’t have to pick these up while playing through a story mission. You can always revisit them at a later date to grab the Power Cell that hides within.

Here’s are the missions you can find a Power Cell in Horizon Zero Dawn. It’s worth noting that some of these locations could be considered spoilers to the game’s story. As such, if you’re wanting to enjoy the game naturally, you may want to turn back now.

All Power Cell Locations

Power Cell #1 – At the start of Horizon Zero Dawn, Aloy finds herself in an underground facility. This is where she finds her Focus, but there’s also a Power Cell in here if you take a close look around. If you didn’t pick it up at the start, you can revisit here to find the Power Cell by heading to the purple area in the bottom right-hand corner of your map and finding your way back in.

Power Cell #2 – During the The Womb of the Mountain quest, you can find a Power Cell in All-Mother Mountain. Crouch through the hole in the wall to reach it. You can return here later in the game once you’ve finished The Heart of the Nora at the end of the story.

Power Cell #3 – During the Grave-Hoard quest, you’ll find the Power-Cell at the Grave-Hoard itself. Once you’ve solved the first ring puzzle to open the door, the Power Cell is right behind the door.

Power Cell #4 – During the Maker’s End quest, you’ll ascend up a tall skyscraper. On the very top, 12th floor, you’ll find the Power Cell waiting for you.

Power Cell #5 – When you find yourself exploring the facility during The Mountain That Fell, make sure to stop by the third floor. Here, you’ll head outside and have to rappel down to reach the next area. Before you rappel straight down, you should find some rocks to your left that you can reach. The Power Cell is here.

Once you’ve found all five of the Power Cells in Horizon Zero Dawn. Return to the Bunker in Devil’s Thirst and complete the holo lock puzzles. Once these are both unlocked, you’ll be able to finally get your hands on the Shield-Weaver outfit. This absorbs all damage and will continue to do so until it begins flashing red. Once this happens, simply evade damage for a few seconds for the Shield-Weaver outfit to stop flashing. The outfit will then be able to absorb all of that damage once more.

That’s all there is to finding all five Power Cells in Horizon Zero Dawn and getting the Shield-Weaver outfit. For more tips, tricks, and information, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide.
