How to Get Modifications and What They Do – Horizon Zero Dawn

Recommended Videos

Modifications aren’t a rare commodity in Horizon Zero Dawn and you’ll find them just about everywhere. Of course, the game doesn’t guide you through using these, but don’t worry, we’ll tell you how to get them and what they do.

Modifications are essentially perks that you can equip to your weapons or outfits. What perk they offer and the strength of it depends on its rarity and type. For example, a rare weapon modification may provide a 30% increase in handling, whereas a common weapon modification may only provide a 6% increase.

In order to get modifications in Horizon Zero Dawn, you’ll want to check the corpses of every machine and human that you take down. The bigger the beast, the better the reward you’ll likely be able to grab off its body. While these tend to be more commonly found on the bodies of machines, some humans will have them too, so don’t forget to loot their corpses.

That’s all you need to know about modifications and what they do in Horizon Zero Dawn. For more tips, tricks, and information for the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide.
