How to Get the Secret Ending in God of War

Recommended Videos

God of War features a gripping narrative, following Kratos on a new adventure with his son, Atreus. Sadly, all good things must come to an end, including this action-packed adventure. However, what some players might not know is that there is a bit more to the story after the credits. It’s pretty easy to miss the final scene in the game, though it actually isn’t hard to find. Here’s how you can unlock the game’s secret ending, but be warned, there will be some spoilers ahead.

After you finish the game, you’ll have the choice to keep exploring the open world or head home and get some well-deserved rest. If you choose the latter, head back to Kratos’ house from the beginning of the game and approach the bed. Interact with it to unlock a new cutscene featuring a mysterious cloaked figure. Without going into too much detail, the secret ending ties into some of the game’s themes and adds a new sense of mystery to the end of your adventure.

Once that’s done, you’re free to continue exploring the vast open world and tackling all those missed trophies. For more tips and tricks on God of War, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
